The crown jewel of Holiday World's Thanksgiving section, and possibly the park itself, is The Voyage. The wooden behemoth of a ride was designed by The Gravity Group, a fast-growing coaster creation company. It's famous for its excessive airtime, eight underground drops, and three 90-degree turns which toss riders completely on their side.
The coaster's station and lift-hill loom over the Thanksgiving section.
The queue is decorated with miscellaneous boat-related items, including nets and ropes.
The lift-hill is almost all that can be seen from within the station, hiding the remainder of the ride.
Said lift-hill towers over both the dry park and the water park.
Every few minutes, one of The Voyage's trains whisks by the station and into the final underground drop.
Elsewhere in the park, Holiday World is also famous for their comfortable designated smoking areas.
Such areas also include signs advertising the Indiana Tobacco Quitline.
Splashin' Safari, the park's water park, is one of Holiday World's biggest draws.
As long as you're 42" or above and accompanied with an adult, you can ride any major ride.
Even if you're below that limit (as my three-year-old nephew is), there's still plenty to do elsewhere.
Wildebeest, one of the newest additions and most thrilling attractions.
Overall, the park has plenty to offer in both rides and slide.
Continuing with the "Things I Did in 2011 that I Never Posted", next week will be some Kings Island, and then down to the Sunshine State for a couple of updates.
